About Nina

Nina Price M.B.A., C.P.C.C., N.C.T.M.B.
L.Ac., M.T.C.M., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)

Nina Price is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Business and Wellness Coach who helps people "push the reset button" on their health, their careers, and the rest of their lives, so that they can prevent burnout and have the professional life they want, no matter what happens.

She is a former Silicon Valley high tech marketing exec who also teaches coaches and service professionals how to become incredibly good at marketing themselves and their practices, so they can rapidly gain more clients and make more money.

Nina's Alphabet Soup Magic Decoder:

Most people know what an M.B.A. is, but I suspect you're wondering what the rest of the "alphabet soup" after my name means. Here's the "magic decoder" for the rest of the letters after my name:

Business Skills, Communication Skills, Career Coaching, Agism, Energy Coaching

C.P.C.C.

This means that I've completed a year-long coaching certification program, and passed an oral and written exam. Many coaches don't bother to do this.

Coaching is a unique 'designed alliance' between you and me, a coach who's dedicated to helping you reach your goals. No two coaching relationships are the same; each coach/client team decides how they will work together and can renegotiate as needed.

For most of my clients, coaching sessions are typically scheduled weekly for 30 minutes by phone. During these sessions, we'll look at your entire life to determine what's working and what's not. Then we'll build a vision for you, and create plans and strategies for achieving it. I also offer group coaching via teleclasses and teleseminars.

Between the sessions is where the progress (and magic) happensÑthat's where you set off on your course with the roadmap we've crafted firmly in hand.

Unlike therapy, coaching is about the client's agendaÑyour agenda. It is centered in the present and action oriented. We'll work on what you want to work on.

Who I Coach

Marketing Coaching — Rev Up Your Revenues

These days I'm doing a lot of marketing coaching with solo practitioners who are building or rebuilding their practices. We use the principles from my Rev Up Your Revenues teleseminar series and we develop a customized action plan to fit your business.

With my experience as a high tech marketing professional, and insights from building my own practices, I've developed a course which I affectionately call "Marketing Charm School". I usually teach it as a 12 week teleseminar. I wrote the text which is called: Rev Up Your Revenues: 90 Days to More Clients and More Money. I love both the teaching and the coaching aspects of helping practitioners to more effectively communicate with their ideal clients.

  • You can do private marketing coaching with me where we'll design the optimal marketing plan for you and your business, and get you on the path to implementing it.
  • Or you can be a part of my 12-week teleseminar series Rev Up Your Revenues, which I teach several times each year.
  • A new option is the Self-Study Version of Rev Up Your Revenues, which allows you to work on your own, at your own pace to develop and implement the ideal marketing plan for your business.

Business and Wellness Coaching — Sharpen Your Competitive Edge

My newest workshop is called "3 Secrets to Staying Employed in Today's Economy". It's a full scholarship workshop which previews three of the strategies taught in my upcoming workshop: Sharpen Your Competitive Edge: How to Stay Professionally Competitive in a Rapidly Changing World which I'm launching this Fall.

The workshop is based on the strategies explained in my book 5 Strategies to Staying Employed in Today's Economy. This is a full weekend workshop for corporate professionals who want to be marketable and stay attractive to potential employers despite changes in their lives and the industry.

Once again, you have several options:

  • You can do private coaching with me to look at your health and your career and develop an action plan for your professional competitiveness.
  • You can attend the Sharpen Your Competitive Edge weekend workshop and develop your professional competitiveness plan there.
  • You can do the Sharpen Your Competitive Edge Self-Study Version, working on your own, at your own pace to develop and implement your professional competitiveness plan.

M.T.C.M., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)

This means that I have a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and that I have passed the National Board exams in Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, the Foundations of TCM and Biomedicine).

Business Skills, Communication Skills, Career Coaching, Agism, Energy Coaching

L.Ac.

This means that I'm a licensed acupuncturist in California. The state of California has its own acupuncture board and its own exam, which is a lot more difficult to pass than the national board exams. Being a licensed acupuncturist means that I am a primary healthcare provider in California.

Traditional Chinese Medicine has been available for thousands of years and billions of people have been successfully treated with TCM. Many Americans have been curious about TCM but have never tried it. If you have always wanted to try Acupuncture and TCM, I would be happy to introduce you to the benefits of this simple and effective medicine. Phone (650/424-8783) or email me nina@ninaprice.com to set up an appointment.

Many people ask me what TCM can treat. I always say that I would use TCM for any problem that does not require emergency treatment. Most people's health issues don't require an emergency room. Often a simple acupuncture treatment, some lifestyle changes and possibly some herbs can solve the problem more effectively and less expensively than other approaches. You'll get plenty of ideas about how acupuncture could help you from my article called "10 Compelling Answers - What Can Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Do For Me?".

N.C.T.M.B.

This means that I'm a nationally certified massage practitioner. I've done way more than 500 hours of massage training and I've passed a national exam. Most massage therapists don't bother to do this, but those who do tend to be better educated and more professional.

In all I do, I am very results-oriented. If you have muscles that are tight or sore, I'll find them and work on them until you feel results. You will notice results from your first massage with me. Often it will take more than just one visit to work through a problem area.

In general, regular ongoing bodywork is a great way to keep your stress in check. Most of my clients have challenging 24/7 professional jobs. They realize that bodywork is a key ingredient in counteracting the stress of their everyday lives.

Bodywork can help you achieve better connection between your mind and the rest of your body. If you spend most of your time in your mind and want to feel more connected to the rest of your body, book an appointment with me nina@ninaprice.com or by phone 650/424-8783.
